Yoga guru Ramdev arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday as he prepares to launch two television channels of his Patanjali Ayurved group and inspect other trade projects in Nepal.

KATHMANDU: Two television channels belonging to the Patanjali group of yoga guru Ramdev have been given a clean chit by a Nepal government probe team after it found no infrastructure was installed by them in Kathmandu violating the local laws.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Centre chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ jointly launched the two TV channels – Aastha Nepal TV and Patanjali Nepal TV – in the presence of Ramdev and his close aide Acharya Balkrishna last week.

Acharya Balakrishna, Chairman of Patanjali Ayurved of Haridwar, India has announced to establish an ‘Acharyakulam, a residential school at Bardagoriya Dham area of Sunwal in Paschim Nawalparasi district.
Balakrishna, an Indian of Nepali descent, on Tuesday made the announcement while taking an on-site visit of Bardagoriya area for establishing herbal medicine processing centre, yoga centres and Vedic agricultural programmes among others.

The Patanjali Group, owned by Indian yoga guru Ramdev, opened its new factory in Nepal on Thursday, aiming to produce various fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in a bid to expand its business across the border.

Patanjali has invested over Rs 1.6 billion in the new venture which is named Patanjali Ayurved Pvt Ltd. Nepal.

KATHMANDU: Yoga guru Ramdev today said he will invest billions of rupees in Nepal to create 20,000 jobs in the country as he jointly inaugurated a new venture to produce organic medicine and other items.

Ramdev, who arrived here on a week-long visit yesterday, inaugurated the new factory of his Patanjali Ayurveda Grama Udyog with Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari in Bara district in southern Nepal.
